Saturday 2nd November
Very very early in the morning. Although it was a good place to stop we didn't sleep well. Lots of reasons for this, Lester was restless, there was a lot of road noise and we were just excited so we were awake at 4ish and Lester was up and about. He made coffee and we showered and dressed and moved on we will have breakfast later at a park where we can barbie some eggs and bacon :-)
We decided we would stop at a roadside cafe for breakfast but the two we found were closed so eventually we drove up to a lookout at Jugiong and cooked our own bacon and eggs on the stove and sat outside to eat, it was lovely and very peaceful.
Back on the road again on our way to Jingellic it wasn't hard to find, it is a lovely tiny town about 50k from Holbrook. (Where the submarine is). There is free camping at the pub which it right on the river. Having never done much free camping before we were unsure so Lester asked a couple of campers who immediately offered all the required information plus more, unfortunately we had no phone service and we were supposed to contact Lester's friend Julie and meet her for lunch.... We walked up to the pub and asked if they had a pay phone she looked at us strangely before she understood and told us there was one down at the corner shop. We started to walk to it and realised it was quite a distance so I went back to the caravan to wait.
I thought I would do the right and turn on the fridge.... Which gas bottle do I turn on? I tried both and got nothing so... May be there is a trick to it? in the end I gave up and got changed as it was quite hot and sat down to write this :-)
Lester finally returned and we drove to Julie and Colins for lunch then they took us for a drive around the area later we met them in the pub for dinner which was lovely. We really enjoyed their company it's been a long day so it's off to bed early.
